Emma has been adjusting to having a baby brother pretty well. When she first met him she steered clear for almost an hour, and then gradually warmed up to coming over and meeting the new baby in the basket.
Since then we have had a few ups and downs, but she is really starting to love him.
Now, when Emma gets up from her nap she signs for him and runs off to find the baby. His cries don't send her into a panic anymore. She is still very concerned, though. :)
Emma brings him blankets and his pacifier when she finds them lying around, and yesterday she showed him one of her books.
We are still very watchful when Emma and Ian are together, since Emma's loving can be a bit too
exuberant and sometimes we are afraid that Ian might be harmed, but she is becoming a
very good big sister.
