Emma loves Baby Jesus

And she kisses him, plays with him and sings to him.

And plays peek-a-boo with him and Joseph and Mary.

dawn

Ian got up very, very early, so we watched the sun come up together.

"red sky in the morning, sailors take warning" - it proved true! we had icy rain all afternoon.

being girly

Emma found my old tutu and was wearing it this morning. Quite the look with the piggy jammies, don't you think? :)

And she also loves Veggie Tales, in case you were wondering. Really loves them. And singing and dancing along. :)

Emma has some serious dance moves :)

John was watching something on youtube and Emma Grace thought the music was pretty catchy. :)

Ian loves his Auntie (and Uncle, too)

John went hunting over the weekend, and the little ones and I spent the weekend with Brian and Leah (so we wouldn't get too lonely without John). Ian loved playing with his uncle and aunt. :)

Emma has boots!

They are pink flowered rain boots and Emma loves them. The first time she wore the boots she was almost tipping over and running into things because she kept looking at her feet and admiring them.
She is so proud of herself when she can put them on without help. :)

like Daddy

John was relaxing after work and Emma Grace hopped up on the bench next to him. She looked over at him as he and I were talking, put her arms up behind her head and tried to get her feet to reach the coffee table, and then joined the conversation!
One of the cutest parts was that her appendages are too short to make it look quite like Daddy. :)

what we did on Halloween

We went up to Dayton to visit Brian and Leah (and Baby on the way)!
One of the highlights of the afternoon/evening was visiting the local Fulton Farms. Emma ran right to the wooden train/play structure and climbed up into the engineer's seat. :)

She also enjoyed playing in - and sitting on - the pumpkins.

There was a little fish pond in front of the barn that had a few koi in it. Emma kept trying to say "fish", but it came across more like "sh". :)

We saw the animals in the petting area, and Emma was so excited to see the goats and miniature horses! When you ask her what a horse says she answers "whee!" :)

Leah holding a well bundle Ian. It got colder than we thought!

Look who is trying to sit up!

Ian is trying so hard to be a big boy! He loves practicing sitting up and standing.

He can "sit" for a couple of minutes in the Boppy and loves it, but after a little while he starts to get tired and lean over.

Yeah, sometimes that happens too.
