We took them to Jungle Jim's and then over the river to Kentucky for an early dinner.
Emma took a liking to Brian's hat ....
... so they traded.
Emma got a new bear from her aunt and uncle (which she absolutely loves - a big thank you from Emma!) and they watched it get stuffed.
There are some gorgeous old buildings around this area, and we enjoyed walking and looking for a few minutes. Leah had brought some cupcakes which we enjoyed with some coffee back at the apartment and were just yummy. After the thermoses were filled and they were on there way and Emma was in bed for the night, John and I looked at each other and realized all over again how much we enjoy having people we love over. There is something just so very satisfying and fulfilling in opening your home and life to loved ones.
