moving to her first "big girl" bed

While here at the Smillies', Emma has been sleeping in a playpen since her crib was a bit too large for the room we are in. She keeps growing, though, and we've finally had to move her to a mattress. She was so excited to have a bed!
Having a big bed was so special that it took her quite a while to settle down and actually sleep. :)

This morning Ian pulled himself to standing in his playpen!

(a terribly blurry photo, but it really expresses how excited he was to be standing up!)


Ian has been pulling himself up on the furniture for a little over a week now. I thought it would take him a while longer to be able to pull himself up in the playpen because the sides are smooth and there isn't really anything to grab onto - but I guess not!
