step by step

Emma started walking on February 11 and has gradually been getting more and more confident. We have tried a few times to get a video of her taking some steps, but each time she has stopped when she saw the camera. She can walk farther than this and with more stability, but you get the idea! :)

John's New Blog

John has started a new blog to post anything he finds interesting throughout the day. Take a look here...The Smiling John.

Enjoy!

today we are learning about:

the washing machine!

this video is actually from a few weeks ago, but the one where she is playing with a balloon won't load right now (though maybe later?)

We took Emma out this morning to play in the snow. After bundling up we headed out quickly before the overstuffed little marshmallow could get frustrated with her layers.

She was fascinated again, but not very adventurous.

A quick snow angel ...

... and then we quickly headed inside!

yesterday's snow

It was so lovely.

Emma's first pizza

We gave her a bit because she was so interested on Sunday night, and she kept asking for more! Emma ended up eating an entire piece by herself. She absolutely LOVES it. Once the carbs hit her little system, though, she crashed very quickly and was ready for bed. :)

helping her daddy

2010-02 "helping"

John was mending the desk chair the other day, and Emma was right there beside him, "helping".

this little girl ...

really loves grapefruit! When I sit down with a half in a bowl, she scents it out and clamors for her share. It's not unusual for her to eat 3/4 of one by herself!
