Emma loves to play with mirrors! The baby in the mirror seems to like to play with Emma, too.

just playin'
John and Emma were playing on the floor last night after he came home from work. They had so much fun and Emma got all tired out, just in time for bed.

a visit from Brian and Leah
We took them to Jungle Jim's and then over the river to Kentucky for an early dinner.
Emma got a new bear from her aunt and uncle (which she absolutely loves - a big thank you from Emma!) and they watched it get stuffed.
There are some gorgeous old buildings around this area, and we enjoyed walking and looking for a few minutes. Leah had brought some cupcakes which we enjoyed with some coffee back at the apartment and were just yummy. After the thermoses were filled and they were on there way and Emma was in bed for the night, John and I looked at each other and realized all over again how much we enjoy having people we love over. There is something just so very satisfying and fulfilling in opening your home and life to loved ones.

the "new" high chair!
John found this high chair on the curb as he was on his way to work one Sunday morning two years ago ...................... and now our own little one is using it.
Emma began solid food a few weeks ago, and is starting to really enjoy it and understand that sitting in the highchair means that it's time to eat!

moving
It has happened again - we've moved.!
The same crew came to help as last time - John's dad and brother David - with the addition of two more helpers, John's brothers Colin and Nathan.
The guys came over on Friday night and the next morning picked up the moving truck and packed it while John was at work. As soon as he got off work we all headed over to the new place, unloaded and returned the truck. We took the guys over to the Bass Pro Shop and Chipotle before they headed home that evening.
It went smoothly and quickly thanks to all the help (thank you again guys - we really could not have gotten it done without you!), and the weather was about as perfect moving weather as you can get in Cincinnati.
The following Monday a friend came over and gave me some much needed help putting the kitchen in order, and now our place is feeling homey once again.
If you would like our new address, please send me an email or leave a note in the comments section and I'll get it to you. :)
